Donald T. Goulart founded Goulart &
Associates, P.C. in 2000 after several successful business ventures in
both the fields of law and construction. Don received a Bachelor of
Science degree in Environmental Design and Cognitive Psychology from
the University
of California, Santa Cruz.
Prior to
embarking on his career in the law, Don had nearly a career's worth of
experience throughout the construction industry. Don
owned and operated a successful commercial and residential construction
company in Boulder,
Colorado for fifteen years prior to
his legal career. Don's experience in the construction industry also
involved working as a licensed commercial and residential general
contractor in both Boulder/Denver, Colorado metropolitan area, as well
as in the State of California. Don also has two years
experience in the field of architecture and design while working as a
Director of CAD Services for a large architectural firm in California. Moreover, Don has also
traveled throughout the entire United
States, serving as a construction
consultant for large construction companies, providing guidance and
expertise in the areas of estimating, cost accounting, marketing and
job procedures.
In 1989, Don entered the University of Colorado, School of Law, planning to use the practical in-field
knowledge he had gained in his two decades in the construction industry
to enhance his full understanding of the practice of construction law
and litigation. In 1992, Don received his law
degree from the University of Colorado, School of Law and in 1993 Don was admitted to the Bar
of the State of Colorado. In 1993, Don, along with his partner
Judy LaBuda, founded the successful Boulder law firm of LaBuda and Goulart, LLC.
From 1993 until 2000, Don practiced construction, real estate, and
business law and litigation with LaBuda & Goulart, LLC. In 2000,
Don founded Goulart & Associates, P.C. as a law firm specializing
in the fields of construction, real estate and business law and
litigation with aspirations of providing clients with the highest
caliber of expertise and knowledge construction and construction law in
the setting of small, personalized law firm that prides itself on
providing unsurpassed personal attention to each client's specific
legal representation needs and business goals.
